September 2008
Well, we're back at it again! We had a relaxing, but still busy summer! Carolyn got married! She's Carolyn Lowther now! Congratulations!!! The rest of the band did a variety of things, both musical and not so musical. In May we also did the majority of the recording for our upcoming CD! We're still putting the final touches on things and getting duplication and other paperwork done! We're hoping for a release in early 2009! Stay tuned...
We're hoping to get things going again here in the fall, so check the website for updates on upcoming gigs!

and now for a few words about the band...![]()
Rógairí is one of Regina’s best Celtic bands, a fun-loving group of six talented musicians from a variety of backgrounds, both classical and traditional, who draw their inspiration both from the ‘modern’ Celtic sound of such groups as Solas, Danu and Altan, as well as from the traditional repertoire. Rógairí formed over a year ago just in time for St. Patrick’s Day 2006 and since then have been in high demand, performing around Saskatchewan, as well as in Alberta. As a Traditional Celtic band, Rógairí decided early on that they needed to represent a fresh new sound and fill a gap in the Regina music scene, and the response has been overwhelmingly positive, with bookings with the Irish Club of Regina, the Mosaic multi-cultural festival, TeleMiracle, social clubs and local pubs, as well as other arts and music festivals around Saskatchewan. Check out the Schedule page for more details and to catch a show!
The six members of Rógairí are Sean Farr (lead vocals, guitar, mandolin); Susan Wadel (lead vocals, whistles, mandolin); David Popoff (Irish flute, whistles, accordion); Carolyn Lowther (fiddle); Bryan Rice (bodhrán, percussion); Trevor Bennett (double bass)
